October 2016 Monthly Program Meeting

AAUW Colorado State President, Amy Blackwell

Amy will speak about “The World of AAUW: A Leader’s Experiences at the UN, in DC, and Back Home in Colorado”

AAUW Colorado President Amy Blackwell, BS MA, is an immediate past member of the AAUW Board of Directors and served as an AAUW delegate in March to the UN Commission on the Status of Women. Based in Castle Rock, Amy owns and operates a STEM and healthcare strategic communications and research company and chairs one of six State of Colorado mental health regulatory boards. Traveling extensively for business every year, Amy is particularly looking forward to doing wildlife biology research in the Galápagos Islands in December, following on the heels of her 2014 Antarctic research trip. In her spare time, Amy practices Korean-style kickboxing and hikes extensively in the Rockies but has retired from bagging 14ers. Her knees said “no more” after 17 summits.
